Pressure, control, and staying switched on.
Take five quiet minutes and note one moment this week when you felt pressure to keep moving.
12 weeks · Same small group · In-person retreat
Gathering Groups supports first responders and others living with the weight of trauma in a small, consistent group. The retreat is not a standalone weekend. Seven weeks of preparation come first, and four weeks of group sessions follow. You meet the same people each time, and you do not need a polished explanation before the work can start.
Meet online with the same small group each week. Learn the rhythm, build context with the people beside you, and prepare for the in-person retreat.
Meet in person with seven weeks of shared context behind you. The retreat sits inside the program. It is not a one-off experience.
Return to the weekly group. Talk through what came up, what still needs attention, and what matters next.
Each meeting has a clear structure without turning the conversation into a script. Here is what a week can look like: one focus, a set time, and something simple to consider beforehand.

By the time you arrive, you have already spent seven weeks with the same group, with four more ahead. You can arrive quiet, unsure, or skeptical. No polished story required.
Gathering is also involved in a clinical trial of psilocybin-assisted group therapy. The study uses its own eligibility review, screening, informed consent, and study team. Taking part in a Gathering Group does not place you in the study.
Ask how the program works, say what you are unsure about, and decide whether the next group makes sense. You do not need to have your story organized.
